Greeting Cards

I've just got all my Greeting Cards uploaded on this fab website called inkly.
They just launched an app for cards that you can choose, write and send straight away.

I made this range of cards a year ago and decided I'm going to give them another go.

Here is a few of my personal favorites!

Much love,

Tom Cheery

Hi there!

Been commissioned for my first illustrative job!

I've been asked to do 12 images for this wonderful little story about wheelie bin!
Sounds strange at first but I loved how original and sweet it was.

The book will be published
soon and is called Tom Cheery.

Here are a few of my favorites images.

They are all hand drawn with ink.

Ill Trades

I'm really excited to share this last project I made before I graduated, (with Distinction as well..!!!).
I've loved Stephen King novels for years and I really wanted to create a Graphic Novel based on one of his more recent stories. I chose the story called 'Fair Extension', from the Book 'Full Dark, No Stars'.

To create it I had to cut out about 2/3 of the original text, and rewrite a lot of it before I could even start with the images.

We have 3 main characters; Dave, Elvid and Tom. The story is simple, Dave is suffering from cancer. One day he meets a mysterious man called Elvid who offers to cure his cancer and solve all his problems if Dave gives him 15% of is income. But Dave also needs to give Elvid the name of a person that he hates, on whom all the negative weight will transfer to. Dave's chooses his best friend Tom.

All the images are hand drawn with ink, coloured in Photoshop, and the layout is made in Comic Life.

Since it's not my own story I cannot sell it to you, but if you ask nicely I may send you a free copy.

Much Love,

Anna D

Hello again!

I've recently finished an internship at an amazing company called Meystyle, which is run by to incredible cool sisters in Southwark. They make hand made wallpaper with LED lights and swarowski crystals. All in their studio.

I had a lot of fun helping with setting together their sample books (also hand made!) before sending them to such places as Brazil, Paris, Dubai, etc.
I also got to illustrate a few helpful images for their instruction sheet.

Please check out their website, its fabulous!

Much Love,

I've just finished one of my last projects on my Foundation Degree. Since my Flower animation, I always wanted to make another one. Since the last two projects are self-initiated I decided to make a story about a monster being born and trying to figure out the world he has landed in. Very short, and very silly.

The whole animation was made in my living room, using both different types of stop motion and hand drawn images. Unfortunately it's too big for blogger, but you can still find it on my Flickr account!

 Hope you enjoy it!

Much love,

Anna D.

IDOL Magazine

Since August last year I have been working as an intern for the fashion magazine called IDOL.
They are a London based fresh new company that all about the up and coming artists in music, fashion and arts. Under these last months I've been helping them setting layouts and even illustrating images for the articles. I learned so much in dealing via email and setting up layouts to a certain standard.

My work has been published in both Issue 2 and 3. Issue 3 was more about the layouts with the masthead, contents, contributors and editors letter pages. Unfortunately I had to leave in January since I'm on my last year of my Foundation Degree and things are getting busy!
